Not accepting new clients

As a Latina therapist, I understand the value and importance of culture in the therapy space. I value inclusivity & diversity, creating a space where all of my clients feel safe, seen, and understood. As a Spanish heritage speaker, I love getting to speak Spanglish with my clients. I welcome other Spanish speakers, while holding no judgment to those who feel disconnected from their language and culture. My approach is very collaborative, focused on understanding patterns in your life that may no longer be serving you. This is typically done from a depth perspective, exploring your past experiences, relationship dynamics, & ongoing patterns. It’s hard to move forward without understanding our past!

Change can be hard, and it takes time. I believe that meaningful change happens when we have a strong sense of self-compassion, a deep understanding of ourselves, and a clear sense of our wants and needs. I work primarily with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, & self-esteem concerns.  I have a particular interest in doing long-term therapy, with a focus on developmental & generational trauma. I am trained in Brainspotting, including: Phase 1, Phase 2, and a specialty training on Developmental Trauma. Brainspotting uses relevant eye-positions to access parts of the brain that may need deeper processing; where you look affects how you feel.

What you can expect from me as a therapist is authenticity. I highly value the therapeutic relationship and show up as myself in session, which means I’ll hype you up or (gently) call you out when needed. Outside of being a therapist, I enjoy playing animal crossing, watching reality TV, and investing in hobbies that I will eventually lose interest in.

I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and I earned my master’s degree in Counseling and Psychological Services from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota.
